Clear streets if you’re hoofing it to work; watch for radar van

Area public safety agencies reported clear streets for the morning commute as of 7:26 a.m. Wednesday, except for some cows wandering near a fence line break near East Sahuarita Road and South Tatanka Lane. And that’s no April Fool’s joke.

Sheriff’s deputies were enroute to see that the cows stayed out of the roadway.

RADAR VAN

And this is no joke either, the Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be assigned to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• On North Grande Avenue near West St. Mary’s Road near Menlo Park Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• On South Park Avenue between East Silverlake Road and East 22nd Street, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• In the 3700 block of North Stone Avenue near Prince Elementary School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• On West Wetmore Road near North Oracle Road, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
