Rotation: RH John Lackey, RH Jered Weaver, LH Joe Saunders, RH Ervin Santana, RH Kelvim Escobar

Closer: LH Brian Fuentes

Hot spot: Starting rotation. Lackey has arm problems. Santana is expected to miss at least the first week with a sore elbow. Escobar is still working his way back from surgery. In the meantime, Dustin Moseley, Nick Adenhart and Shane Loux are potential fill-ins.

Texas Rangers

Manager: Ron Washington, third year

Projected lineup: 2B Ian Kinsler, 3B Michael Young, CF Josh Hamilton, RF Nelson Cruz, DH Hank Blalock, LF David Murphy, 1B Chris Davis, C Jarrod Saltalamacchia, SS Elvis Andrus

Rotation: RH Kevin Millwood, RH Vicente Padilla, LH Matt Harrison, RH Brandon McCarthy, RH Kris Benson

Closers: RH Frank Francisco, LH C.J. Wilson.

Hot spots: Crowded outfield, DH. Having Blalock as the primary DH creates a logjam in the outfield. Ex-All Star Andruw Jones made the team as the fifth outfielder, and the Rangers want to play Marlon Byrd.

Hot spots: Closer. Rotation. Left field. Catcher. Shortstop. Second base. DH. Griffey is coming off knee surgery and can’t play LF every day, squeezing at-bats from Mike Sweeney. Chad Cordero may be closer when he returns from injury.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
