Fatality near Triple T truck stop; radar van on Ajo

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatality on the Southeast Side on Monday morning.

Details of the death were unavailable as of 7 a.m. The fatality was reported to deputies at 5:01 a.m. and was near the Triple T truck stop in the 5400 block of East Benson Highway.

Tucson police were investigating a non-injury hit-and-run at in the 8100 block of East Sixth Street, reported to police at 4:36 a.m.

RADAR VAN

The Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be assigned to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• The 100 block of West Ajo Way near Hollinger Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• South 12th Avenue between West Ajo Way and West 44th Street, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• The 5300 block of East Glenn Street near Whitmore Elementary School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• East Prince Road near North Fontana Avenue, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
