Traffic’s clear; radar van starting on West Side

Traffic was clear in the metro area by 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, with no car crashes, road hazards or blinking, busted traffic lights to slow morning commuters.

The Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be posted to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• The 3300 block of North Flowing Wells Road near Walter Douglas Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• North Silverbell Road near West Ironwood Hill Drive, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• The 300 block of South Harrison Road near Gridley Middle School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• East 22nd Street near South Pantano Road, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
