Ex-UA, Broncos receiver Vance Johnson arrested

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Former University of Arizona and Denver Broncos wide receiver Vance Johnson was arrested on violations stemming from two separate court cases.

Court officials say the Cholla High School graduate was arrested Thursday in Fort Collins for failure to appear when he was late showing up for a hearing in Larimer County District Court. Records in that case are sealed and the allegations against him are unknown.

After Johnson was in custody, authorities discovered an arrest warrant from Garfield County alleging he failed to give his estranged wife $36,500 in a divorce case.

He was released on bail. No phone listing could be found for Johnson, and no attorney was listed on the court records available to the public.

Johnson played for the Broncos from 1987 to 1992. His arrest was first reported on the Web site of The Coloradoan newspaper.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
