his new comedy at Loft
Local filmmaker Jeremy A. Harkin will debut his feature, “Ockham’s Razor,” at the Loft Cinema next week.
The romantic comedy is about a guy who seems to have it all until the woman in his life shifts her focus from him to her art. Harkin stars as Andrew, who might embrace change or drive his gal away.

for older population
A Tucson woman has written a book aimed at helping others age gracefully – and healthily.
Published by AuthorHouse, “You’re Never Too Old to Stay Young: A Must-Read Behavioral Guide to Aging with Smarts & Dignity” by Stephanie “Sunshine” Pincus retails for $15.95.
According to publicity materials, the book is about improving one’s mental and emotional health. “It is a behavioral guide to living and aging with the right information and wisdom to help your ‘all around’ life and well being.”
Pincus is a gerontologist, a life coach, lecturer, mentor, teacher, poet and linguist.

Locals The Provocative Whites have been at it since late 2005, and now the fourpiece is ready to give birth to its latest full-length, ”Evolym.’ (‘My love,’ backward. A lyric from the title song: .’Now it says evolym above my heartbeat, so I can see my love when I reflect my chest back at me.’)

in new gardening collection
A local author is among the contributors to a new book about gardening.
Shirley Dunn Perry’s story, “Grandmother’s Flowers,” is included in “The Ultimate Gardener: The Best Experts’ Advice for Cultivating a Magnificent Garden with Photos and Stories” by Charlie Nardozzi (Health Communications, $14.95). Perry’s piece recalls her rural grandmother’s love of flowers.
