Business journalism association moving to ASU

PHOENIX – The headquarters of a national business journalism professional association is moving from the University of Missouri School of Journalism to Arizona State University.

The Society of American Business Editors and Writers, known as SABEW, will make the move to ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in downtown Phoenix later this year.

Cronkite School Dean Christopher Callahan said on Tuesday that the association executive director and two support positions will move to the school.

ASU has been revamping its curriculum to focus on digital reporting, beefing up its faculty with news industry veterans and adding programs in recent years. It moved into new facilities in November. The association plans to hold its annual conference at ASU next year.

The association has about 3,300 members.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
