Cow loose on Southeast Side; radar van starting on East Side

Traffic was mostly clear by shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday, except on the metro area’s Southeast Side where deputies were herding a cow back to its pasture and reliving the Old West.

The wandering bovine was reported in the road on South Old Spanish Trail at East Jeremy Crossing, south of Drexel Road, at 7:04 a.m.

The Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be assigned to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• The 7400 block of East Stella Road near Reynolds Elementary School, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• East Broadway between Camino Seco and Pantano Road, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• The 2400 lock of North Country Club Road near Doolen Middle School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• The construction zone on East Grant Road near North Craycroft Road, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Citizen Online Archive, 2006-2009

This archive contains all the stories that appeared on the Tucson Citizen's website from mid-2006 to June 1, 2009.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.

For all of the stories that were archived by the Tucson Citizen newspaper's library in a digital archive between 1993 and 2009, go to Morgue Part 2
