Two crashes reported; radar van starting on Southeast Side

Tucson police were investigating two collisions Thursday.

They were:

• On West Ruthrauff Road near Interstate 10 a non-injury collision, reported to police at 6:33 a.m.

• In the 4500 block of East Seneca Street, a non-injury hit-and-run, reported at 4:42 a.m.

RADAR VAN

The Tucson police photo radar van and its crew will be assigned to watch for speeders at the following places and times:

• The school crossing on East Escalante Road near South Prudence Road, from 7 to 10:30 a.m.

• East Golf Links Road between South Camino Seco and South Kolb Road, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• North Grande Avenue near West St. Mary’s Road near Menlo Park Elementary School, from 2 to 5 p.m.

• West Speedway Boulevard near North Silverbell Road, from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

In 2010, a power surge fried a server that contained all of videos linked to dozens of stories in this archive. Also, a server that contained all of the databases for dozens of stories was accidentally erased, so all of those links are broken as well. However, all of the text and photos that accompanied some stories have been preserved.
