Members of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) have until Aug. 23 to change health plans if they wish to be served by a different contracted health plan.
Jack Kelly, acting director of the program, said, ‘Being able to change health plans offers our members the same opportunity as people in the private sector.’
Various health plans are awarded contracts by the county to provide medical services to the more than 428,000 AHCCCS participants in the state.
To make changes, participants may call (800) 445-5413. Additional information is available by calling (800) 962-6690.
The changes will go into effect Oct. 1.
