PHOENIX – In the past two weeks, the statewide average price for gas has jumped 4 1/2 cents, according to AAA Arizona.
The statewide average price is $1.47 per gallon, up from $1.43 per gallon.
The most significant price increase is in Scottsdale.
There, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gas is 7 1/2 cents higher than two weeks ago when it was $1.48 per gallon.
Gas prices are also higher in Phoenix’s east and west suburbs.
In San Diego, gas is $1.64 per gallon, and Las Vegas is averaging $1.54 per gallon.
Motorists preparing to head out of town for the Fourth of July holiday will see a nationwide average of $1.39 per gallon, AAA officials said.
