IN BRIEF
Find out what’s being planned for the city’s Arroyo Chico Urban Greenway project at a Thursday presentation by the Tucson Parks & Recreation Department.
Displays will be available to show conceptual designs for the project, which is to provide a path for bicyclists and pedestrians from west of Kino Parkway to east of Campbell Avenue.
The greenway project ties in with the major drainage improvement project by the Pima County Flood Control District that includes major detention basins at and west of Tucson Unified School District’s Cherry Field to mitigate historically high wash flows in the Arroyo Chico between Alvernon Way and the Santa Cruz River.
The public meeting is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Randolph Golf Course Clubhouse, 600 S. Alvernon.
