Ranking: No. 33 Born: Portrush, Northern Ireland Age: 29 College: Alabama-Birmingham Turned pro: 2002 Pro wins: 4 Match Play record: 1-2

Notable: Tied for 15th in the 2008 U.S. Open. Played in the 2008 Ryder Cup, earning 2.5 points for the European team and finished ranked fifth on the Order of Merit.

Did you know? In 2002, won the Haskins Award for most outstanding collegiate golfer in the United States.

Shingo Katayama (Japan)

Ranking: No. 32 Born: Chikusei, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan Age: 35 Turned pro: 1995 Pro wins: 26 Match Play record: 2-7

Notable: All of his 26 wins came on the Japan Tour, but he tied for fourth at the 2001 PGA Championship.

Did you know? He’s called “Cowboy Shingo” due to his distinctive cowboy-style hat.
