Former Arizona standout Marcus Williams, who would be a senior on this year’s UA team, did not make the NBDL all-star team.

He is averaging 20.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

The National Basketball Development League game is set for Feb. 14 in New York. The teams were selected via fan balloting and the league coaches.

Williams left UA after his sophomore season and was drafted in the second round by the San Antonio Spurs.

Pima softball splits

The No. 23-ranked Pima Community College softball team split a doubleheader Tuesday, losing to host Phoenix College 12-4 and then winning 9-7.

Chelsea Evanoff (Sabino High) earned the win in the second game.

Danielle Bravo (Amphi) was 2 for 2, while Elisa Stensby drove in three runs.

Pima (5-3) will play in the Eastern Arizona Tournament in Thatcher on Friday and Saturday.

Our Digital Archive

This blog page archives the entire digital archive of the Tucson Citizen from 1993 to 2009. It was gleaned from a database that was not intended to be displayed as a public web archive. Therefore, some of the text in some stories displays a little oddly. Also, this database did not contain any links to photos, so though the archive contains numerous captions for photos, there are no links to any of those photos.

There are more than 230,000 articles in this archive.

In TucsonCitizen.com Morgue, Part 1, we have preserved the Tucson Citizen newspaper's web archive from 2006 to 2009. To view those stories (all of which are duplicated here) go to Morgue Part 1
