Maracigan, Payne star as Pima women win 22nd

The Pima women’s basketball team improved to 22-4 with an 88-83 win over visiting Glendale on Wednesday night.

Abyee Maracigan (Flowing Wells High) led the Aztecs with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Courtney Payne (Cienega) added 14 points for Pima.

The Aztecs visit Prescott at 2 p.m. Saturday.

• The Pima men fell to 9-18 with an 86-83 loss to visiting Glendale on Wednesday.

Terrence Hill (Rincon/University) scored 22 for the Aztecs, who visit Prescott at 4 p.m. Saturday.
