SPORTS SOUND-OFF

Re: ASU sweeps Arizona with 70-68 win

• Give Arizona credit for coming back. The Cats still need to win two games. Keep your heads up. Don’t worry. We’re still 43-10 against ASU the last 25 years. And since when do ranked teams storm the court after beating an unranked team at home? JUST A FAN

• Knocking students for rushing the court after a rivalry game (is sad). . . . Take a deep breath, step down from the roof and realize ASU is better than your team. JESTERJV71

• Why was UA’s Kyle Fogg on the bench the last few minutes? He was the most consistent/efficient player on the team. Zane Johnson’s lack of fundamentals with his left hand hurt the team. He struggled to make the lay-in set up by Nic Wise, and he could not make the wide open putback in the closing seconds. Why does coach Russ Pennell continue to allow Wise to overpenetrate? His lack of height and hops turn many of his fast breaks to the hole into an inefficient play. ARIZONA BRUCE

Our Digital Archive

This blog page archives the entire digital archive of the Tucson Citizen from 1993 to 2009. It was gleaned from a database that was not intended to be displayed as a public web archive. Therefore, some of the text in some stories displays a little oddly. Also, this database did not contain any links to photos, so though the archive contains numerous captions for photos, there are no links to any of those photos.

There are more than 230,000 articles in this archive.

In TucsonCitizen.com Morgue, Part 1, we have preserved the Tucson Citizen newspaper's web archive from 2006 to 2009. To view those stories (all of which are duplicated here) go to Morgue Part 1
