Re: UA loses to Cal in basketball

Way to go, Pennell and the Wildcats! Way to close out games! Not only did you lose this game but you lost your chance at the NCAA Tourney. Does pride and tradition mean nothing to you? When teams play you, you should be pounding them for scheduling you, especially on your home floor. What a disgrace. Oh and no one is going to the NBA!

JUST A FAN

I think that it is obvious: The way the Cats were utterly out-coached tonight, the NCAA Tourney appearance streak should die in Lute’s “Final” year, last year. I feel bad for these players, as their coaches horribly let them down. I could have coached them better.

BAY CAT NATE

It’s coming in clear now. My psychic powers are working now I can see it Arizona will get a NIT bid and home-court advantage. But wait hold on . . . damn, they lose to MIT.

Re: UA football player Robert Golden switches to safety

Anything that’s good for the team. Golden whacking ASU receivers as they come over the middle will be fun to watch.

TRODELPOST

Switching Golden to safety is exceptional football sense and strategy by the Stoopses, who have now built depth and competitiveness on the Wildcats team that will make a huge move on the national college football stage this season.

The battle for Hundley’s cornerback position between Wade and Benjamin will be as intense as the one at quarterback between Scott and Foles.

Our Digital Archive

This blog page archives the entire digital archive of the Tucson Citizen from 1993 to 2009. It was gleaned from a database that was not intended to be displayed as a public web archive. Therefore, some of the text in some stories displays a little oddly. Also, this database did not contain any links to photos, so though the archive contains numerous captions for photos, there are no links to any of those photos.

There are more than 230,000 articles in this archive.

In TucsonCitizen.com Morgue, Part 1, we have preserved the Tucson Citizen newspaper's web archive from 2006 to 2009. To view those stories (all of which are duplicated here) go to Morgue Part 1
