Youth leadership session is next week

More than 2,500 students are expected to attend the 20th annual LULAC Youth Leadership Conference next week.

The League of United Latin American Citizens will host the conference in partnership with Pima Community College and the Southern Arizona Institute of Leadership on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at PCC’s West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road.

The conference will focus on the importance of education, said Richard Fimbres a LULAC spokesman. It will feature workshops, a career fair, motivational speeches and a performance by Tejano music artist Patsy Torres.
