Hunger Walk March 21 to aid Food Bank coffers

The first Community Food Bank Hunger Walk will be held March 21 at the Kino Community Center, 2805 E. Ajo Way.

Participants can walk 3.5 miles or one mile.

Registration fee is $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Participants can also make donations in advance and purchase Hunger Walk shirts for $10 at the event.

There will be refreshments, entertainment and music from the University of Arizona Alumni band.

All proceeds from the Hunger Walk “will go directly to fighting hunger in southern Arizona,” said Jack Parris, a food bank spokesman.
