Humane Society sets skate-a-thon Saturday

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is hosting a skate-a-thon to benefit its education programs for children.

The event costs $20 and includes skate rental, pizza and beverages.

There will be a prize for best “creative outfit,” according to Pennie Liebig, education events coordinator.

The event is 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Skate Country, 7980 E. 22nd St.
