The University of Arizona women’s swim team begins defense of its 2008 NCAA title Thursday at College Station, Texas. Preliminary events begin at 9 a.m. Tucson time. Events taking place Thursday include the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500 free, 200 individual medley, 50 free, 400 medley relay and the one-meter dive.

Arizona posted the fastest time in the 200 free relay, 400 medley relay and the 50 free, fourth fastest time in the 200 IM and fifth quickest time in the 500 free in the country during its dual meet slate. All finals will be Saturday.
