Miller was a point guard for the Pittsburgh Panthers after averaging 27 points and 11 assists per game for Blackhawk High School in Chippewa Township, Pa.

1987-88: Named Big East Freshman of the Year, leading Pitt to a 24-7 record and the Big East title and second-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

1988-89: Led Pitt to NCAAs. Lost to UA at McKale Center in Fiesta Bowl title game 88-62.

1989-90: Medical redshirt after foot surgery.

1990-91: Led Pitt to NCAAs; played on U.S. team that won the gold at the World University Games.

1991-92: Lost to UA 96-76 at McKale Center. Finished Pitt career as the school’s all-time free-throw percentage leader (88.5). He’s second in career assists (5.8 per game) and in top 20 of career scoring leaders (1,282 points or 10.1 per game).
