Art Flagg has been appointed interim president of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association. Flagg replaces Edward Taczanowsky, who announced his resignation. Taczanowsky served SAHBA for more than six years. Flagg has served as SAHBA’s chairman of the board and is a life director. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the homebuilding industry.

Tucson residents Kris Poola and Randy Alama recently participated in the SkillsUSA Arizona Championships. Carl Triphahn, executive director of P.I.P.E., Piping Industry Progress and Education Trust Fund, and Dana Jones, a manufacturers representative for Sunstate Sales Inc., served as proctors in the plumbing category. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force.
