A teen was killed and his passenger is recovering from injuries sustained in a one vehicle crash over the weekend, Tucson police said.

Killed was Cody J. Weber, 17, of Tucson. His passenger remained in a hospital, recovering from injuries which are not life-threatening, said Officer Charles Rydzak, a police spokesman said.

Weber had been driving a 1997 Ford Expedition north in the 12000 block of South Wilmot Road, an area where Wilmot is not paved, when he lost control of the SUV about 10:30 a.m. Saturday and it rolled, landing on its roof, Rydzak said.

Weber was found dead at the scene, Rydzak said.

Police did not name the 20-year-old man who was with Weber.

He also is from Tucson, Rydzak said.

Our Digital Archive

This blog page archives the entire digital archive of the Tucson Citizen from 1993 to 2009. It was gleaned from a database that was not intended to be displayed as a public web archive. Therefore, some of the text in some stories displays a little oddly. Also, this database did not contain any links to photos, so though the archive contains numerous captions for photos, there are no links to any of those photos.

There are more than 230,000 articles in this archive.

In TucsonCitizen.com Morgue, Part 1, we have preserved the Tucson Citizen newspaper's web archive from 2006 to 2009. To view those stories (all of which are duplicated here) go to Morgue Part 1
