Lexi – #706648 – 7 Years Old – Shepherd Mix – Female
Lexi needs a trusted girlfriend with whom she can share all of her secrets. You see, Lexi can be a little timid around certain men. But she is crazy about kids and women. Brought to the HSSA in August after living her entire life in a backyard, Lexi was adopted but just couldn’t get comfortable around the new man of the house. Most guys are just fine in Lexi’s book, but some frighten her. Although she lived outdoors for 7 years, Lexi quickly caught onto house training in her temporary home. As a well-behaved and adored guest, Lexi enjoyed hanging out with other dogs, taking long naps and prancing around like a puppy while playing tag with her 5 and 7 year old friends. Now Lexi is hoping with all her heart to find someone to spend her retirement with who enjoys cuddling just as much as she does. Won’t you offer this deserving sweetheart the chance to finally live life to the fullest? Lexi can’t wait to be your biggest fan!

Ready for your lap

Smudge – #707188 – 3 Years Old – Domestic Medium Hair – Male
Meet Super Smudge! Found clinging to life after being hit by a car, Smudge was rushed to safety by a good Samaritan. Once at the HSSA, X-rays revealed that Smudge had suffered minor trauma to his lungs but miraculously managed to survive the incident in one piece. After receiving intensive care, a steady supply of fluids, countless bandages and loads of kisses, Smudge is recovering and ready to start a new chapter in his life. Despite all that’s happened to him, Smudge is a fearless cat who only believes the best about people. He’s always happy to curl up in your lap and serenade you with his deep purr. Won’t you give sweet Smudge the perfect home he needs to feel like a million bucks?

Meow!

Pansy – 6-month-old tortoiseshell female – This beautiful 6-month old tortoise shell female cat was found with her little siblings in a park huddled next to the sliding board. Not the ideal place to leave kittens but at least someone found them and brought them to TALGV. Over a few months, all of her siblings were adopted and Pansy was not until about three weeks ago when a lady adopted her. That would have been really great, but she ended up getting a job and decided that a kitten was too much responsibility, so brought Pansy back and exchanged her for an older cat. So here she is again looking for a forever home. She is very pretty, very sweet, and would be very grateful if you would pick her to be your loving – and permanent – companion.

Let's be friends!

Trina – 14-month-old black and white, 40-pound, terrier mix female – A year ago Trina and her brother, Timber, were bouncing baby puppies with all the spirit that comes with that age. Now they are bouncing, not-so-baby teenagers, but still have all of the verve they had then only with a few more pounds added on. Trina and Timber lived with a 4-year-old and a cat, so you know they were quite used to an active household. Trina is a black and white terrier mix girl who is lovable, laid back, and family-friendly, has a great personality, loves walks, rawhide bones, and attention, attention, attention. The only reason she has come back is that her family lost their home, so she will be staying until another lucky family falls in love with her (Timber has already been adopted so Trina is especially lonely now).

HOPE ANIMAL SHELTER

Tucson cat needs forever home

Let's be purrfect together

Emma is a cat with quite a story to tell. She came to HOPE after being adopted from another shelter. Her adoptive family took her to the vet for a health check; x-rays uncovered the sad story of Emma’s past—she has several BBs embedded in her body. Her new family decided they did not want a cat who might have health problems in the future; now Emma finds herself at HOPE. Emma is a very affectionate girl once she knows she can trust you, and is the first to tell you when she thinks it’s time for a treat. We hope Emma will find the loving home she has been waiting all of her life for soon; in the meantime, she knows she will have a home at the shelter as long as she needs it.

HOPE is this month’s (November) Beading Divas to the Rescue bracelet sales recipient. You can view this blog post to see where to buy handmade bracelets locally or online. Bracelets cost $20 and all of the sale goes to HOPE.

You can help HOPE get $500 if you vote for Will My Dog Hate Me blog on the Petside.com blog contest. Scroll down and select the blog and hit submit. The blog with the most votes can choose an animal rescue to receive the prize money of $500.
