Zoldan is telling so many lies here, it’s hard to refute them all. Lennox was a consumer article, a dog its buyers knew was banned but they just has to have their fashion item, namely the fighting pit bull X fighting bulldog mix that the pit fans have dubbed ‘American bulldog’. There was no Labrador in Lennox. He was pure pit-derivative fighting dog.

The British shelter where he was kept was perfectly decent and clean, much better than what you Americans can imagine. People with 25 years experience dealing with all kinds of dogs, not only dangerous ones, declared this pit-derivative utterly dangerous and unpredictable. Never mind actress Stilwell and fraud Crosby, spoiled rich celebrities without real qualifications, who are now insulting real people who — unlike these two — have spent their lives on shelter dogs.

The problem with all the pit-types, pit-mixes, pit-derivatives is purely genetic. ‘How you raise ‘em’ has nothing to do with it, won’t cure the genes.

What galls me more than all this, which we’re used to from the SO-CALLED pit lovers is their histrionic concern for a Lennox, contrasted with their total and utter indifference to the million pit bulls put down yearly in the US because SO-CALLED pit lovers breed or buy them then dump them at shelters, unwanted by even the SO-CALLED pit lovers.

Do these SO-CALLED pit lovers realize that everywhere there is enforced BSL, the deaths of PIT BULLS drop dramatically? I mean, I know the fans don’t care about mauled children and curs (as they call our normal dogs), but you’d think they’d care about the pit itself?

Guess not. This isn’t about animal welfare, not even about pit-bull welfare. It’s some weird consumerist cult, over the dead bodies of above all pit bulls.

Is the Tucson Citizen really a newspaper, or am I wasting my time posting on a phony-news SO-CALLED pit lover page?

discriminating against a breed of dog? what has this world come to?
as an owner, you need to access, understand, and supervise the situations you put your dog into. People tend to think that dogs think like humans, but they absolutely dont. if you know your dog doesnt do well around people, dont let him/her walk around outside unsupervised, and maybe get that behavioral problem fixed by a professional. We spend so much time doing the blame game, when really, we should blame ourselves for not paying more attention.

its so funny how someone like you, who obviously doesn’t own a pitbull, seem to think that you can judge an animal for the way an owner raised it. just like any other dog, pitbulls learn from conditioning. Maybe after all the pit advocates chew out your ass and prove you wrong, you’ll start learning through conditioning too.
and 70% of fatal maulings are due to pitbulls? are you on crack? where did you get this information? where is your proof other than your biased judgements? until you come up with some REAL information and REAL arguments, take it elsewhere.

Get a life, will ya!! I just checked out your profile, and bashing pit bulls is all you do!! I cannot actually believe you put that amount of time into this. Something is VERY WRONG with you. You are a pathetic liar and a fanatic is all you are. I will use your profile in a case where I am fighting BSL to show the council where many people get their ridiculous and false information from. You have no idea what you are talking about. No one broke any law. The dog was a victim of BSL. Like many dogs that affected by BSL and many pit bull reports in the media, it was a look-a-like. DNA testing confirmed that Lennox was 1/2 American Bull Dog and 1/2 Labrador. How is that breaking the law? Neither one of those dogs were banned. The dog was punished and killed because of the way it looked. You have no soul.

You are correct, the owner didn’t break any laws. They were well within the law. Many of these people posting are regulars that post anti-pit bull stuff on a very regular basis. They are fear mongers and liars.

BSL is ugly and not fair to dogs and responsible owners. It should be outlawed, as it is in many mainstream states, as it is cruel and abusive. One that doesn’t understand the real affects of BSL would think it is good for public safety, but it keeps no one any safer, as proven over an over in every place that has BSL. Any place that BSL is put into affect, nothing has changed. People still get attacked by vicious dogs at the same rate. BSL focuses on the looks of a dog, rather than the behavior of dogs. BSL is a feel good law that gives community a false sense of security. All dogs are individuals and all behave differently, even though they are the same breeds. I have had German Shepherds when those were the devil dogs at the time, and places banned them, and now I own pit bulls, and people want to ban them. In my entire life, out of all the dogs I have owned, not one dog ever attacked a human, another dog, or a cat. BSL is wrong, and we need to learn from Calgary, which has no BSL, but has the lowest bite record in North American. They educate children and adults on how to deal with dogs, and they have stiff penalties for irresponsible owners. No BSL, and it is way safer. Learn from Calgary, because BSL does nothing to make anything any safer, and it is purely evil to say the least.

The people suffered attacks, yes-this does not cut them a pass when they mistakenly attack the dogs’ breed rather than the owners who trained them.
