Sidiki Johnson dismissed from Oak Hill for violating undisclosed team rule
by Javier Morales on Feb. 20, 2011, under SportsMouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy coach Steve Smith confirmed this morning via text message that Arizona Class of 2011 recruit Sidiki Johnson and a teammate have been dismissed from the team for violating an undisclosed team rule.
“Yes, all I can say,” Smith texted me in response to whether Johnson and fellow senior Ben McLemore were dismissed from the team for violating a team rule.
Attempts to reach Johnson, a 6-9, 220-pound power forward who has signed with Arizona, have been unsuccessful. McLemore is a 6-5, 185-pound wing player who narrowed his college choices to Kansas and Missouri.
How their dismissal from Oak Hill’s program affects their academic standing and eligibility for college is uncertain at this time.
