The Arizona Wildcats baseball team will open its postseason run against Missouri on Friday, beginning at 8 p.m. from Hi Corbett Field.
Arizona, which was announced as an NCAA regional host on Sunday, found out who else would be playing in the four-team, double-elimination region Monday morning.
The first game on Friday, starting at 4 p.m., will be between Louisville (39-20) and New Mexico State (35-22).
All games from Tucson this weekend will be shown on ESPNU, or streamed live on ESPN3.com.
Missouri (32-26) was the surprise winner of the Big 12 tournament, earning at automatic berth to the NCAAs with an 8-7 win over Oklahoma on Sunday.
Arizona hasn’t played Missouri or Louisville this season, but did drop a pair of home games to New Mexico State in a mid-week series. The Aggies won 7-4 and 13-8 on March 20 and 21.
The winner of the Tucson regional will advance to the Super Regional round against the winner of the North Carolina regional. The Tar Heels, seeded sixth overall in the tournament, are playing host to Cornell, St. John’s and East Carolina.
