Arizona Wildcats quarterback Matt Scott is listed as probable on the team’s injury report, released Thursday afternoon.

Scott missed last Saturday’s home game against Colorado because of a concussion suffered a week earlier at UCLA. His replacement, B.J. Denker, was efficient in the 56-31 victory over the Buffaloes.

Utah’s defense, which allows 23.2 points and 346.3 yards per game, is much more stout than Colorado’s, though.

Elsewhere on the injury report:

–Fullback/defensive end Taimi Tutogi, who has missed the past two games because of a neck injury suffered in practice, is probable.

–Safety Jourdon Grandon, who missed last week’s game because of a concussion, is probable.

–Offensive guard Chris Putton is still doubtful because of a concussion. He missed last week’s game. True freshman Cayman Bundage started in his place, and UA rotated him, Trace Biskin and Shane Zink at the guard spots.

-–Linebacker Hank Hobson is out. He suffered a neck injury at UCLA on Nov. 3 and was hospitalized in Los Angeles overnight.

–Backup true freshman safety Wayne Capers, also a special teams players, is out because of illness.

Arizona is likely to seek a medical hardship for wide receiver Terrence Miller, who has played in only four games and is out because of an ankle injury.

AG, I heard on 1290 am this afternoon that the PAC12 network and Direct TV came to an agreement……. can you confirm this…. thanks

    • Anthony_Gimino

No agreement. Maybe you heard that wrong. I would bet they were talking about a deal between DirecTV and Time Warner, allowing DirecTV to show the Lakers games.

        AG,
They did mention the Lakers agreement, and the PAC12 agreement in the same breath…..by the way more than once!
This was around 2:30PM on 1290am. (does that show originate from LA) do not realy listen that often, only when running errands.

Anthony, can we expect the “Matt or BJ?” decision to not come until just before kickoff? It looks like the U of A is still playing for a better overall and conference record, bowl positioning and a strong finish to a decent season thus far. With so much to play for, all this may tilt Coach Rich’s decision in Scott’s favor. My question is, do you have a game-time weather forecast? If it’s windy and snowy, this may force the Arizona QB to tuck it in and run with it, which may mean Denker and not Scott, so as to not put No. 10 in further danger and maximize the use of No. 7′s skill set, and good health. BJ, it appears, does a slightly more effective job of selling a new weapon in the Cats’ arsenal: The option. Which may be perfect for unclogging the middle.

if Matt is ready and medically cleared to play, he’ll play. The decision probably isn’t more complicated than that. Temps should be in the 40s. Small chance of rain.
