The Arizona Wildcats fell one spot to fourth in the AP men’s basketball poll after a controversial finish against Colorado and an unexpected close call against Utah last week.
Arizona (14-0) fell behind Louisville (13-1), which moved into the No. 3 spot. Duke and Michigan continue to hold down the top positions in the AP poll.
The Cats remained third in the USA Today coaches poll.
Arizona, which is the only Pac-12 team in either poll, was ranked as high as No. 2 among the 65 AP ballots, thanks to Scott Reid of the Orange County Register. The Cats were as low as No. 8 on one ballot, that coming from Jason Franchuk of the Provo (Utah) Daily Herald.
Arizona next plays at Oregon on Thursday night.
