The Arizona Wildcats will hold their spring game on Saturday, April 13, at the Kindall Field at Sancet Stadium on campus. The scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m.

Kindall-Sancet, the former home of the Arizona baseball team, became the football team’s practice home last season and will remain so, at least in the short term, athletic director Greg Byrne told TucsonCitizen.com earlier this month.

“As of right now, we’re going to continue to use it as football practice fields,” he said.

“That has worked really well. It’s good space for our football program. I won’t say you never change, but as of now, we’re going to stay focused on that.”

The Cats won’t have the use of Arizona Stadium for their spring game for the second consecutive year. In 2012, Arizona was forced out because of construction in the north end zone; this year, UA will be displaced by installation of artificial turf. The school announced Wednesday that it has chosen FieldTurf Revolution CoolPlay turf to put down in Arizona Stadium.

Arizona also announced it will hold a spring scrimmage in the Phoenix area for the second consecutive season. The Cats will be in the Valley on Friday, March 29, with the location and start time to be determined.
