The Arizona Wildcats have expanded their recruiting class by signing defensive back David Price, a three-star recruit from traditional high school power Long Beach Poly.

Colorado and Fresno State were among the other schools that offered Price, who took his official visit to Arizona this weekend. Price also recently visited San Jose State.

He played safety and corner in high school, likely projecting as either the Bandit or Spur safety in Arizona’s 3-3-5 scheme.

The Wildcats have one scholarship available in the 2013 class.

Here is a look at Arizona’s recruiting class, which ranked from fifth to eighth in the Pac-12 immediately after Signing Day on Wednesday.

Which red shirt players from RR’s first class (2012) will be ready to go this year? I think quite a few guys were red shirted?

    • Anthony_Gimino

Looks like 12 scholarship freshmen redshirted. DE Kyle Kelley, RB J.T. Washington are a couple of watch. A couple of extra DBs will be in the mix — CB Bryan Harper, S Yamen Sanders. I heard WR Trey Griffey was close last season. It will be interesting to see if he and/or two other WRs are ready — Jerrell Bennett, Clive Georges.

Tone, any idea on the whereabouts of Adam Hall? What a shame. The way this guy would separate the player from the ball and his senses — it’s a lot easier and prettier and less noisy to separate the ball from the player but this wasn’t Mr. Hall’s way — was like no other. A real shame for him and those of us who love to see football played the way it was meant to be played. Let’s just hope he’s doing fine. Whatever he’s doing.

No players from Texas? We seemed to always pick up a few from there. Just asking?

First time since 1994. The Stoops’ staff had particularly good times to Texas; this staff not as much. But RichRod and crew is up and running in California, is making strides in-state (UA and ASU can do better) and will probably pull in a Florida kid or two (like T.J. Johnson, who might be the fastest player in this class).
