The Arizona Wildcats crept up to one spot to No. 11 in the major basketball polls Monday morning.
Arizona (23-4) is coming off a home sweep of Washington and Washington State.
The Wildcats were as high as No. 6 on two of the 65 ballots in the AP media poll. There was a wide range of opinion on UA, though, with two voters picking the Cats as low as 18th.
Arizona, which is tied for first place in the Pac-12 with Oregon at 11-4, plays at USC on Wednesday night, followed by a Saturday night game at UCLA. The Bruins enter the week a half-game back of the league leaders with a 10-4 conference mark.
In terms of NCAA Tournament projections updated Monday, Arizona is a No. 2 seed from Jerry Palm at CBSSports.com. It would be fun if his bracket turned out to be right, with Arizona looking at a possible second game against Pitt, coach Sean Miller’s alma mater.
