The Arizona Wildcats’ football opener against NAU will begin at 7 p.m. and be televised by the Pac-12 Networks, the league announced Wednesday morning.
Since that game is on a Friday night, Aug. 30, the start time isn’t much of a surprise, but the official news was part of an early schedule release for televised games on the Pac-12 Networks,
The game vs. NAU will mark a few notable beginnings for the Cats:
A new starting quarterback, new uniforms, new seating in the north end zone as part of almost-completed Lowell-Stevens Football Facility and the first game at Arizona Stadium without grass. The new surface — FieldTurf Revolution with Cool Play — is being installed right now (click here for a live webcam).
The Thursday, Oct. 10, game at USC will be televised by the new Fox Sports 1, a 24-hour sports network that will debut in August.
