Public celebration of Dave Sitton set for Sunday at McKale Center

A public ceremony and celebration of Dave Sitton’s life will be held Sunday at McKale Center, beginning at 6 p.m., the university announced Wednesday.

The event will be available on a live stream at arizonawildcats.com.

Doors open at 5:30 and free parking is available on campus and near McKale on Sunday.

According to UA:

“All who knew and were touched in their lives by Dave are invited and welcome to join family and friends in remembering Dave, and celebrating his life.

“The program will include a tribute to Dave, his many contributions and positive influences on the Tucson community, and scheduled speakers who will represent the many different organizations and groups with whom Dave was connected.”

Sitton died early Monday from a heart attack. He was 58.

Private services are planned for Friday and Saturday.
