Jordan Yamamoto, a right-handed senior pitcher out of St. Louis High in Honolulu, committed to the Arizona Wildcats this week, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Yamamoto’s stock rose quickly this summer when he hit 92-93 mph on the radar gun at the Area Code Games in Long Beach, Calif.
“I wasn’t really expecting too much when I went up there,” Yamamoto told the Star-Bulletin. “After the tryouts, I got a bunch of phone calls but the one that stood out was the University of Arizona. That was my dream school from my freshman year.”
