Former Arizona Wildcats tight end Michael Cooper, who left the team during camp, will reunite with former UA offensive coordinator Seth Littrell at Indiana.

The news was first reported by the Indiana site at Rivals.com.

Cooper was recruited to Arizona out of The Woodlands, Texas, when Littrell was the coordinator for coach Mike Stoops’ offense. He played mostly on special teams as a true freshman in 2011 and last season in the first season under coach Rich Rodriguez.

Rodriguez’ read-option offense doesn’t usually emphasize the tight end position. Cooper, who earned second-team Pac-12 All-Academic honors last year, did not have a catch in 2012.

He reportedly will walk-on at Indiana, with two years of eligibility left after he sits out the 2013 season as a transfer.
