Arizona’s Ka’Deem Carey is the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

Arizona Wildcats junior Ka’Deem Carey has been selected the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career.

Carey rushed for 236 yards on a school-record 40 carries in a 35-24 victory over Utah, finishing his night with a 44-yard touchdown run.

He also won the conference’s weekly award for offense last season after rushing for a Pac-12 record 366 yards in a 56-31 win over Colorado on Nov. 10. Carey will get another shot at the Buffs this Saturday when the Wildcats travel to Boulder.

Others nominated for Offensive Player of the Week honors included:

–ASU’s Marion Grice (career-high 158 yards rushing, three total touchdowns vs. Washington)

–Oregon’s Byron Marshall (career-high 192 rushing yards, three touchdowns and 54 yards receiving vs. Washington State)

–Oregon State’s Sean Mannion (35 of 45 for 481 yards and four TDs at Cal).

–Stanford’s Tyler Gaffney (career-high 171 yards on 36 carries in win over UCLA).

–Washington State’s Connor Halliday (58 of 89 passing for 557 yards, with four TDs and four interceptions). His 89 attempts were an NCAA Division I record.
