Arizona Wildcats signee Stanley Johnson, already with plenty of experience with USA Basketball, has been selected to the 2014 USA Junior National Select Team.
That team will play in the Nike Hoop Summit at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore., on April 12.
The USA team, featuring top high school seniors, will play against a 19-and-under World Select Team.
Johnson, a 6-foot-7 forward, has won two gold medals with U.S. teams — at the 2012 FIBA U17 World Championship and at the 2011 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.
The rest of the 10-man team is:
F Cliff Alexander (Kansas)
G Joel Berry II (North Carolina)
G James Blackmon Jr. (Indiana)
G Tyus Jones (Duke)
C Jahlil Okafor (Duke)
F Kelly Oubre (Kansas)
F Theo Pinson (North Carolina)
C Myles Turner (undecided)
F Justise Winslow (Duke)
Arizona freshmen Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson played in the Nike Hoop Summit last year, when the U.S. team lost to the international squad 112-98.
Johnson has helped Mater Dei of Santa Ana, Calif., win three consecutive state championships. He committed to Arizona this summer on ESPNU, holding up a pair of cardinal-and-navy Arizona-logo shoes as he did so.
He is ranked as the No. 2 recruit in the country, according to 247Sports.
