Arizona has one committed player on Rivals’ final Top 250; more coming?

The Arizona Wildcats have a commitment from one player in Rivals.com’s final ranking of the best 250 football recruits in the nation.

That would be defensive end Kyle Kelley, who took his official visit to Arizona last weekend and affirmed his commitment after further getting to know the new coaching staff. Rivals.com ranks Kelley at 214.

New coach Rich Rodriguez and his coaching staff are pursuing others on the list, including receiver Davonte’ Neal from Scottsdale Chaparral High School.

Neal, ranked No. 107, was set to visit with Rodriguez and offensive line coach Robert Anae today, according to the Arizona Republic. Anae coached at Ricks College in Idaho in the early 1990s with Neal’s father, Luke Neal.

Arizona also is still trying to get an official visit from quarterback Devin Fuller, who is ranked No. 37. Fuller, from Old Tappan, N.J., is seen as the perfect athletic fit for Rodriguez’s read-option offense.

Fuller will decide between Arizona, Notre Dame and Baylor for his last official visit. His other options are Nebraska, TCU, Rutgers and UCLA.

Tight end Taylor McNamara, who had been committed to Arizona before coach Mike Stoops was fired at midseason, is at No. 189. He intends to sign with Oklahoma, where Stoops is now co-defensive coordinator.

Cornerback Devian Shelton, who also de-committed from Arizona, is at No. 211.
