The Arizona Wildcats, putting some of the final touches on their recruiting class, have added one of the top prospects in the state.

Peoria Centennial offensive lineman Layth Friekh committed to UA over Washington on Monday morning.

He also held offers from, among others, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Nebraska and Utah through the recruiting process.

Friekh is Arizona’s highest-rated recruit, according to 247Sports, which rates him 155th nationally and puts him at No. 4 in the state.

Friekh is a four-star recruit by 247Sports, and a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com. Friekh (6-5, 260) still needs to add weight and strength, but is considered the have excellent footwork and technique, as well as the frame to get bigger.

Arizona has added three recruits in the past three days, adding to its in-state haul and filling needs slots on the offensive line. The other two are Salpointe Catholic receiver Kaelin Deboskie and offensive lineman Levi Walton from Cape Coral, Fla.

Arizona now has commitments from five of the state’s Top 20 prospects, according to Rivals.com’s ranking, in what is considered an excellent group of in-state seniors:

No. 7 — WR Cameron Denson
No. 8 — TE Trevor Wood
No. 14 — OL Layth Friekh
No. 16 — WR Kaelin Deboskie
No. 19 — S J.R. Hunt

Arizona has 27 commitments, two beyond the annual limit of 25, but at least a few of the prospects will enroll for the spring semester and count backward toward the team’s 2013 total. In other words, the Wildcats still have some wiggle room and, for example, could add Sabino offensive lineman Andrew Mike if he wanted to commit to Arizona.

The Wildcats have seven recruits who have earned four-star designations.

Here is the class, with ratings from the three major recruiting services:
